Tmsuk Co. has done it again.  They created T-52 Enryu, a robot almost twice as large as a man with the power to move heavy objects during disaster and rescue work.  The remote controlled humanoid robot weighs five tonnes with two hydraulically powered arms with pincers at the end.  Each arm is capable of lifting a hefty 1100 pounds.  Tmsuk hopes to have a commercial version of the robot available in a year.  Heres a link to a photo of the massive robot and another link to the full article by Yahoo(AFP).
