Roboreptile : Your Feedback Please
Those of you that are currently Roboreptile owners, please leave your responses using the blog's comment system. I would like to know from you how frequently you still play with your Roboreptile? What is your favorite feature? What would you like to see improved? Finally, if you are planning on getting any other WowWee robots, which ones?
Thanks.

Mini Roboreptile
Quick post to answer those of you who want to know what the Mini Roboreptile can do. It's capabilities are limited to being able to walk with a limited ability to move to pose it's arms. In the end it's just a cute little walking dinosaur that young kids will like. It can also be used as a teaser gift for others before you give them the full size Roboreptile. It requires two AA batteries.

Price Alert - Discovery Store Roboreptile
After a recent drop to $79 USD, the Discovery Store Chromashift Roboreptile's price is going back up to $89 tomorrow, Saturday November 17, 2006. For more information visit out Roboreptile information page. I guess the intense demand is causing this and hopefully they don't run out before the holiday season.

Roboreptile - Ellen Degeneres
Our favorite green robot dinosaur is making a guest appearance on the wildly popular Ellen Degeneres show. In fact, they will be giving away a boatload of Discovery Store Chromashift Roboreptile to the audience. Apparently the show's theme for the evening is Kids and there's a segment on toys (of course!). The show will air tonight, November 16 2006, so check you local TV listings for showtimes and have your recorders ready. The Ellen Degeneres show is a Warner Brothers production.

Lowest Price WowWee Roboreptile
Some of you have asked where you can get the lowest price on a Roboreptile. With the ever changing market it's hard to know the lowest price, but the Discovery Store has them for a thrifty $79 USD. To save even more, visit this page. There is a coupon code you can find on that page that, if you make a purchase of $100 or more at the Discovery store, you can take $20 off of your order. Throw in some batteries and/or pick up an extra small toy and you'll have a nice selection gifts at a great price.

Roboreptile - Chromashift Color Changing Explained
Many of you have been curious about the Discovery Store Roboreptile's innovative Chromashift coating. Like a luxurious European sports car, this Roboreptile version has an impressive custom Italian paint job. The Chromashift technology allows the Roboreptile to appear different shades of color, based on the color of the object it is sitting or moving on due to the highly reflective nature of the paint. On a red couch he would appear more red or take on a copper overtone. On green surfaces he would appear more green, and so on. You can see the gorgeous Chromashift coating in the Roboreptile head shot below.
This makes the Chromashift Roboreptile not only an agile smart little robot, but a good looking one too!

Note: Last year the Discovery Store's exclusive Platinum Roboraptor, the Roboreptile's granddaddy, was their hottest selling robot for the holidays. Because of this, they went out of stock before the holiday season ended. If you had not bought one yet, you were out of luck. If you intend to get a Chromashift Roboreptile as a gift this holiday season, buy it now. Please don't email me this year if you miss out. I do not work for the Discovery Store and I have no control over their inventory.
