Pleo contest winners have been announced!

Buy Pleo.

A big congratulations to the 10 people that just won a Pleo! Ugobe has just announced the 10 winners to their robotics companion essay contest. You can read their winning entries on the Ugobe web site now. As you will see I was lucky enough to be one of the winners and I am walking on air now. Although this makes the wait for Pleo's release even sweeter, it also makes it that much harder! I'll still be getting another Pleo anyways because I don't want Digger, that's what I've named my Pleo, to be lonely!

Also, I have a surprise coming for you in the next few days so keep a close watch on your E-mail! If you have not signed up for E-mail updates from my blog, now would be a good time to do so.

This is a post about , 's
That was an unfair contest.
More than half of the essays didn't answer the original question at all. If the question had been "Tell us how PLEO would affect you're life now", I could have written a much better essay. Zeda didn't even remotly answer the question (How do you envision robotic life forms influencing or touching your life in the next five years?), she just talked about her dog.
I think Ugobe made poor decisions about the essay winners, and didn't follow their own guidelines for the essay.
I'm absolutly your opinion, that most of them didn't answer the question. And I can't understand, why ugobe let these essays win.

Could it be, that there where not so many peoble, who wrote an essay? Wasn't the public relation not good enough?
yes i agree i tried not to talk about pleo & talk about the bigger picture.

i didnt even get a thank you for entering email but you have been unlucky
