The iRobot Roomba vaccum is clearly the most successful consumer robot that is not a toy. With thousands of satisfied owners all happily getting the carpets cleaned automatically by this self-recharging robot, and now getting their floors mopped with it’s sister bot the Scooba, the Roomba has moved powerfully from the early adopter community to the mainstream.

  The basic model. I have one of these and I love it.

  A few more bells and whistles, this is midline version.
   
• iRobot Roomba 4230 Remote Scheduler Robotic Vacuum
  The top of the line model that includes zone based scheduling, so you can have certain parts of your home vacuumed automatically at different times of the day that you predefine.
   
• iRobot Roomba 4188 Pink Ribbon Edition Floorvac Robotic Vacuum
  A custom model that donates 20% of the sales price to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation..
   
• iRobot 5900 Scooba Floor Washing Robotic Hard Surface Cleaner
  The Scooba is to hard surfaces as the Roomba is to rugs. It’s robotic mop with tons of smarts.
